Meet Ayala Aesthetics.

We’re a mother-daughter design duo from Northern California, combining years of experience with fresh energy and a shared love for creating beautiful spaces.

Kathleen has been designing for over 25 years, known for her timeless style and thoughtful approach. Samantha brings a modern eye and a business-savvy mindset that’s helped us reach more clients and refine the way we work.

Together, we’re building something special—rooted in family, creativity, and the belief that great design should feel personal and effortless.

Our mission? Simple. We’re here to connect your needs with our design know-how so your space reflects who you are and how you want to live. Because home isn’t just a place—it’s your story.

Behind the name

“Ayala Aesthetics is named after Ayala Cove, a quiet spot off Angel Island in the San Francisco Bay. It’s where my parents got married on a sailboat—and where my story quietly began.

My mom grew up in a small Indiana town and made her way west, always chasing beauty and fresh ideas. My dad brought the builder’s mindset—precise, practical, and all about doing things right.

Our house was basically a nonstop design zone. There was always something in progress—paint swatches on the walls, furniture being rearranged, tools scattered across the yard. Christmas break? That was ceiling-painting season, with my mom perched on counters and my dad and I out re-roofing like it was a family tradition.

Every corner held a creative experiment—like the dartboard mounted so well we might never get it down. I didn’t know it then, but I was soaking in everything: the grit, the vision, and the joy of building something meaningful.

Ayala Cove feels like the perfect symbol of how I was raised: bold, intentional, and full of heart. Ayala Aesthetics is how I carry that forward—with my own style, my own voice, and a passion for making spaces feel truly lived in.”
